a month agoFive stars for Candle Lab Cincy! What sets this website apart from other car fragrance diffuser shops is the variety of unique scents, the great product photos, and the ability to combine fragrances to create something completely your own. I ordered the Maple scent, and everyone who gets in my car says it smells like pancakes and syrup. I also mixed Almond and Cherry to create my own signature scent, and now everyone who smells it wants to make the same combination. I called it Cherry Lady. I decided to try Dad’s Den because I was curious whether it would smell like Black & Mild cigars. It did not quite have that scent on its own, but now I am thinking about combining Dad’s Den with Vanilla Bean to see if I can create something close. I have not found another vendor that gives customers this much freedom to experiment and create their own custom fragrance. Candle Lab Cincy makes car fragrance feel fun, creative, and personal. I will definitely be ordering again.

2 months agoMake your own custom scented candles?! Genius idea for an activity - my bf took me here as a bday past time and we had a great experience. There is a huge selection of scents to choose from and you get to make a list of your favorites - I spent a good 10 minutes just going down the line and smelling all of the different scents. There is really something for every nose here: fresh, earthy, warm, woodsy, sweet, they've got it! From there you can choose what size and style of candle you want - but they also have the option to make linen/room sprays, wax melts, and diffusers so if you don't want a candle there are options for you, too. Then you get to pick how you want to mix your scents, and add them to your wax/whatever options you chose. Our scent stylists were very helpful during the process as well - giving tips on what scents would come out stronger than others. They were also very pleasant in general, wonderful customer service and explained everything perfectly. There were 3 people we saw between when we came in to make the candles and picking them up(you do have to wait to pick up what you made since the wax has to set, keep this in mind for your visit!!!) and they were all very sweet and even recommended to us some good coffee and matcha spots nearby. Also, I really feel for what you get it's reasonably priced compared to going to a place like Bath and Body Works, where you'd definitely spend more money on the candles and can only choose from what they already have. Lastly, if you aren't planning on pouring your own scents you can buy premade candles - I checked out their website and they have all kinds of options there too to choose from, including building custom scents. For all candle and smelly stuff lovers this is a real gem!

4 months agoI'm an "anything that smells good" fanatic, and go on "scentventures" around Cincy...my doctor who knows this about me, recommended this place—Candle Lab OTR was one of the best scentventures yet! Even just stopping in to smell all of the notes would've been cool. I made a linen spray and candle. Whole process was fun, and the staff working last Sat evening were sooo friendly, genuine, and great at walking me through the process. This would be a great place to take a date. Was not crowded when I went, and prices were very reasonable. From start to finish, I'd allow 2ish hrs, but you could get done and out the door quicker, depending. Would be perfect before a dinner or after lunch. You can also buy premade candles, if not up to creating your own—plenty to choose from. Place was cozy but modern, very clean. If you're a fellow scent-lover, just looking to be a little crafty, hoping to give someone a handmade gift, or want to add something unique to your date-night, I can't recommend Candle Lab OTR enough! PS: you could say it is doctor recommended 😉

9 months agoGreat experience for my daughters 10th birthday party. All 5 girls had an absolute blast mixing scents and coming up with a signature scent. We will definitely be back. Only thing I want to note is they do not have a restroom which made things complicated 😅
