    The patio here is tree covered so even when it’s hot hot hot, you can still enjoy the outdoors. Our server DJ was great. The drinks were delicious-the coconut rum rita was spicy and I absolutely recommend it. We chose steak frites and sausage with potatoes for dinner. The roasted shallot aioli with the steak frites was amazing. We’re inspired to try and replicate that at home. This place is on point-highly recommend!

    Popular OTR spot for brunch. It has a nice, slightly upscale vibe with lots of greenery hanging from the ceiling and walls. We started with a mimosa flight which was really good. They also offer mimosa and bellini pitchers if you have a group of people. I had the stuffed French toast with a side of egg and my husband had the chicken and waffles with egg. Both of our meals were very good! We both would order the same thing when we return! Our server was friendly and stayed on top of things. He was knowledgeable of the drink selection and food items, offering suggestions. Parking is easy at the large paid lot next door.

    I’ve visited The Alcove several times before and usually have a great experience. The atmosphere is beautiful and most of the staff are very kind, which is why today’s experience was disappointing. For Mother’s Day, after a lovely flower basket-making outing with my sister-in-law, we had reservations for 2:45 PM. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated quickly. The waitress brought us water and let us know someone would be with us shortly. When our server arrived, she gave us a brunch menu, and we asked if there was a lunch or dinner menu available. She explained that the lunch/dinner menu started at 3:00 PM. Since it was only about 10 minutes away, we happily agreed to wait. Around 3:00 PM, she took our order. Unfortunately, our food did not arrive until around 4:00 PM — over an hour later. During the wait, we were told there was a large party that delayed the kitchen. Another staff member, who may have been a manager, apologized and offered fries while we waited and also removed our mimosas from the bill, which we appreciated. However, the fries that were offered while we waited were not brought out until the same time our food finally arrived, so it really did not help with the long wait. Throughout the delay, communication was minimal and we often felt forgotten while watching food go to other tables. I completely understand that Mother’s Day is extremely busy, and delays can happen. But over an hour for food with very little follow-up was disappointing, especially since we were among the first guests ordering from the lunch menu after 3:00 PM. I still think this is a beautiful restaurant with a great atmosphere, and I hope today was just an off day.

    We visit family from Minneapolis MN and came here for dinner. I love the decor, the attentiveness & friendliness of the staffs! A big shout out to DJ for taking really good care of us. The Steak Frites was fantastic, my wife really enjoyed the Salmon. The Cheese Cake was a great way to close out the dinner. Thanks for a great experience.

    Very trendy little bar with great beer. We really liked all of the live plants that were everywhere. It gave it a very healthy, earthy vibe. Beer was top notch. Didn't have one that we didn't like. The peanut butter porter was my favorite. Didn't eat but the food looked very fresh and tasty.
